Rebuild the Internet

If the internet were to be rebuilt, it would become a database solely to hold our lives and memories. The internet is used to hold information for us, therefore we depend on it when we want to refresh our memories. However, what would we do if we couldn’t refresh? Would all of our memories be lost because we aren’t able to remember from looking at a picture or rewatching a youtube video? The internet has become our lives and our connections, as we are able to contact each other easily. However, we’ve come to rely on a wifi symbol to be able to talk to our loved ones. The rebuilding of the internet would have to start in our heads. The way we use the internet and how we decide to capture our memories and contact each other has been changed over time and we need to change our ways in order to rebuild it. We are going to have to make attempts to harvest and carry our own memories and find ways to contact each other without needing a wifi symbol. To make my project I used foam core, markers, and string, and I made a wifi symbol representing the internet and the coding behind it hovering over our brains. We put the internet above all else. Even our loved ones, our memories, and our lives. We depend on the internet, and in order to rebuild it, we have to start by changing the database inside our own heads.
